Daniele Rochon has a Bachelor of Arts from Jesus-Marie in Quebec City. She then went to Laval University to study political science to become a journalist, but the death of her father inspired Rochon to return to her love of painting. She went back to school at Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. Pastels and oil paints are Rochon’s media of expression. She has had more than 40 notional and international exhibitions, and more than 70 collective exhibitions. Rochon has designed and created costumes and décor for the Vaugirard opera in New York. In 1992, Rochon was elected to the Royal Canadian Academy of Art.
