Yehouda Chaki was born in Athens, Greece, in 1938. He lived in Tel Aviv, Israel, where he studied under Professor Joseph Schwartzman from 1945 until moving to Montreal in 1965. From 1967-1989, Chaki was head of the Painting and Drawing department of Fine Arts in the Saidye Bronfman Centre. Presently, Chaki still acts as an adviser for the Centre. His work is represented worldwide.
