Born in 1893 with a nervous disorder that affected her speech and movement, Kathleen Morris painted mostly landscapes and city scenes which reflected her home of Montreal, Quebec. Under William Brymner, Maurice Cullen, and James Morrice, Kathleen Morris studied fine arts. Morris was a member of Montreal’s Beaver Hall Group; which was a community of female painters. Her works have been exhibited nationally and internationally, including the National Gallery of Canada.
