From left to right, Alan Comfort, Gary Morrell, and Peggy loading hay onto a Studebaker truck that Anne and Gary Morrell drove to Canada when they immigrated. Alan Comfort is Anne Morrell’s brother. This group lived together in Northeast Margaree before Anne and Gary bought a farm in Big Intervale. This photograph is the basis of an oil painting made by Gary Morrell (1948-1984), in a photo-realistic style.
