Jeffrey Hessing is known for using very lively and vibrant colours in his work. He has travelled around the world painting landscapes and animals. In 1980, the Countess Karolyi invited Hessing for a three-month residency at her foundation for artists and writers in Venice, which Hessing found was a nourishing and supportive place to work. In 2013, Hessing moved to Nice, France, and he now exhibits worldwide, permanently in Boston and Shanghai.
