Pat Service grew up in B.C., and received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia before moving to Scotland and studying at the Glasgow School of Art. Service has also lived in eastern Canada and Venezuela. Since 1972, Service has lived and painted full time in Vancouver.
